About six years ago I started putting St. Germain into everything. Bested only by a floater in some good champagne, I found this up margarita to be the best use for the delightful and prurient essence of elder flower.
You may find it difficult at first to refer to it by name in respected establishments, but fear not, everyone eventually warms up to the Elderfucker. It's YOU they will never really understand.
Roll the lime and squeeze into shaker over ice. Follow up with the tequila and St. Germain. Shake briskly and strain into a martini glass. Drop a kiss of blue curaçao down the center and let it rest for a second before serving. Garnish with a lime...or don't.
