I heard about this cocktail on a radio show that was broadcasting live from The Cellar restaurant in Fullerton. This is now my Fall go-to classic cocktail.
FYI - I couldn’t find the Amaro Ciociara so I substituted Amaro Abano.
1/4 oz Torani Pumpkin Spice Syrup
1/2 oz Amaro Abano
1.5 oz Bourbon
1 Star Anise
Orange peel for garnish
And pumpkin spice syrup, Amaro Abano, and Bourbon to a rocks glass. Add a large clear ice cube and stir to chill. Rest star anise on the ice, then flame an orange peel and rub over the rim. Drop the peel in as an extra garnish.
