A cocktail made with what ingredients we could get our hands on while cooking dinner for family in Charleston, SC. Aunt claimed the brandy in the pantry was "for cooking," we used it for inspiration.
8 oz. Brandy (E&J)
2 tbs. Sugar
3 viles Jack Rudy Aromatic Bitters
Lemon rind (for garnish)
Place sugar, brandy and bitters large mixing glass (i.e. French press beaker). Stir to dissolve. Add ice. Stir. Strain into five rocks glasses filled halfway with ice. Garnish with lemon rind essenced over ice and rubbed on rim. Enjoy on the porch with cigars, stories, and song.
