Derivation of Sandy Bottom from Bitter & Pour in Rochester, Minnesota. Classic taste of bourbon and lemon rounded out by falernum.
2 oz bourbon (Jefferson’s Ocean, or similar)
1 oz Falernum
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1 oz simple syrup
1/2 oz pineapple juice
3 dashes Angostura
Bitterman’s Old Fashioned bitters
Coat a highball glass with Bitterman’s Old Fashioned bitters. Add a single, large ice cube. Shake remaining ingredients over ice and strain into glass. Garnish with lemon wheel.
