Thursday Special this past week at MG Road. Back bar picking had me thinking…

Ingredients:
  • 1/2oz white rum
  • 1/4 oz Lemon hart 151
  • 3/4 Licor 43
  • 3/4 oz St. Germain
  • 1/2 oz lime
  • 1/4 oz Fernet Branca
Preparation:

Combine all in tin
Add ice
Shake
Double strain into coupe
Garnish with lime square

    Wow! Great balance and complexity. I especially liked how the finish starts out like St. Germain and then ends up like Fernet. Very cool - Thanks for sharing.

    If I hadn’t made it, I wouldn’t have thought it would be this good. It looks like a possible train wreck, but somehow it works. I would recommend serving it in a cocktail glass instead of a coupe - it overflows the latter.
