Named cheekily after Rosemary Woodhouse of Rosemary's Baby. Concocted at for an art salon event that I was bartending at.
Pour lemon juice, simple syrup and Cointreau into a mixer, strip the leaves off of a sprig of rosemary and toss them in the mixer. Muddle the rosemary thoroughly, then pour in bourbon. Shake with ice then strain and pour into cocktail glass. Add a twist of lemon for garnish.
Optional: replace the muddled rosemary with a rosemary syrup by cooking the rosemary in water then adding sugar to make syrup.
