About this Cocktail

The classic Manhattan variation.

  • 1.5 oz Rittenhouse Bonded Rye Whiskey
  • .5 oz Amer
  • .5 oz Dolin Dry Vermouth
  • .25 oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur

Stir. Strain. Rocks glass.

Note: If you aren't able to score Amer Picon from Paris, try recreating it with CioCiaro as the base. The recipe floating around online with Ramazzotti as the base doesn't yield a true approximation of Amer Picon, but it's otherwise a good place to start.

  • Brandon Herring
Having this right now with gin using Amaro Ciaciaro. Makes an awesome Martinez variation.
  • Brandon Herring
...and obviously damn fine with Rittenhouse.
  • Travis Tolmachoff
Torani makes an amer that you can buy. Also, isn't this a Brooklyn?
  • Willett Distillery
Have you tried this with the Willett Rye? Really delicious recipe!
  • Antonio Matta
There is a product now available in the US called Bigallet China China which is an actual Amer Picon. Solid product- high proof so heads up!
  • Greg Parmer
I used China China and it tasted great!
