About this Cocktail

A favorite forgotten classic. Experiment with the salt here. It rounds the edges of the drink nicely.

  • 1 oz Willett 5-year rye
  • 3/4 Campari
  • 3/4 Dolin dry vermouth
  • Small pinch of salt
  • Orange peel garnish

Combine ingredients in a beaker, including the salt, and stir until chilled. Strain into coupe. Hit with orange peel.

I prefer Willett 5-yr rye and Dolin dry for this, but use whatever you like.

    Just went to great me cocktail bar on Athens ga named after this drink. Great version made there too. Been making them since I had few there.
